As a bit of constructive criticism: Do NOT use burn tool, or black for shadows as you have, such shadows are not diffuse, and they behave completely different to how the folds of the clothing and lines on anatomy behave.

Are they bumping headgears like how you can transfer some data by touching mobile phones?
As a bit of constructive criticism: Do NOT use burn tool, or black for shadows as you have, such shadows are not diffuse, and they behave completely different to how the folds of the clothing and lines on anatomy behave.
If they are, that's adorable.
And yeah, as someone who used to shade like that (any artist would cringe at some of my older attempts with more airbrush than actual flat colour) I can definitely say, cell-shading/hard edged shading is so much better- or at least, shading with a darker version of the base colour. Never shade with black.
