The Forest of De'vas, a land of many miracles and wonders. The lush greenery and the variety of life. The fresh air, the clean water, the Shrine of Delv'an, the magical energies in the air..... They all belong to me.
One might ask how I came into possession of such a place. Why no one had attempted before me. The answer is simple.
When a land has enough life and power of its own, it is granted sentience by some unknown force. This sentience of the land is known as a spirit. Spirit of the forest. Spirit of earth. What have you. Such spirits are primal, simple, and very logical As such, they are often willing to enter mutual relationships with those that can communicate with it. Many have tried before me to take the land from the spirit by force, but you cannot seperate the land from itself. I, however, offered the land something it logically would not refuse. I offered to protect the land if I could have complete control and dominance over it. While it seems like a bad deal to us mortals, to a spirit as primal as the earth, protection from something mobile is worth the price.
