My first upload... the latest episode of Tangled had some incredibly well-written MC in it. A lot of stuff is just wham-bam-now you're horny, but this really delved into Rapunzel's own doubts and fears and used them against her to get the MC going. I like it.
I'm uploading a few more gifs now, but the episode is called "Painter's Block". I don't have any clips available on-hand, but after the events of the blizzard in the previous episode Rapunzel is really struggling with the consequences her actions have and is starting to doubt every decision she makes, even with something as simple as painting.
An art teacher by the name of Mrs. Sugarby offers to help Rapunzel with her painting, but starts preying on Rapunzel's doubts and her fear of making tough decisions. The hypnosis method is a staff tapping the floor like a metronome, combined with the assurance that she won't need to make tough decisions anymore.
This is all a ploy for Sugarby (whose real name is Sugracha) to use Rapunzel's painting skill to help break the seal that's holding her demon master (likely the series villain, though he was just introduced) in another dimension.
This show got kinda weirdly sci-fi/magitech and I like it.

Got the ep now, should probably pool these since the parent child relationships were broken.

these kinds of shows, they only manage to win if "losing" was all a part of a larger plan already in order to set up some convoluted thing that will never really pay off in the end and still feel like any other plot from any other episode instead of some big overarching master plan that is supposed to feel like something more. Then again I think I watch too many of these shows aimed at younger girls and the tropes are starting to get predictable. ^_^
