Do you like shitty Vynlul lore and a few extra scenes that don't fit into the size limits of this GIF? NOR DO THEY FIT ONTO GFYCAT (1 min limit)? Well then head on over to files.catbox.moe/wu0jub.mp4 and watch the 'complete' version in full 1080p 60 fps.
The GFY is this cut as an MP4
And like that, the animation no one was asking for is live. It's actually a sequel and -current- end of the trilogy of 2B animations I've done. No one would know that because they're more loosely connected than two strangers, so I threw in flashbacks scenes that didn't really do their goal (highlighting that yes, the POV hands in those first two bits were in fact the other 2B).
Anyway, huge thanks to AmateurThrowaway and Crute (non-Hub guy but he's a 3D model maker and helped with editing this into a slightly better end result) for being the primary 'thoughts' people that prevented some terrible missteps. The rest of the people I shopped this around to, thank you as well but it's so many people I've forgotten all the names so I can only give a general thanks to the rest.
Shoutout to that opening section for being so good the rest is put to shame (pre-Train was the last scene of the fight to be animated and it kinda shows).
As far as creating this, don't. Just fucking don't follow my example. Storyboards? Nah, just animate a bunch of useless scenes that you cut out later and then some sections no longer make sense so remove those too. I'll go into more detail later but this took about 3 months to materialize.
Most of the movements have a basis in other media since, if you didn't know, I am NOT a fight scene animator nor do I excel in telling stories. So what did I do? I consumed a ton of content and tried to piece together how to make something flow.
2B is based heavily off Yang from RWBY because I wanted to kinda show that she is outright stronger and better equipped to fight than the Commander there. This led me to find a very direct fighting style that Yang perfectly matches. The primary sources for Yang's movements were V2:E11 in a fight against Neo (which the walkup-standoff directly mimics), V3:E6 in her fight against Mercury (useful since I made Commander a kicker due to all dat L E G), and then her Death Battle match against Tifa. Other sources were used but those are the main basis for everything.
Now, the Commander is a more mixed bag. Her moves have a basis in the following characters: Mercury from RWBY, Chun Li, Neo from RWBY, Ryukko Matoi, Yang from RWBY, 2B from Nier Automata, Tifa from FF7, KANA / Asuka from IRL wrestling (Asuka in the WWE). To break it down further. Chun Li was referenced for a lot of kick wind ups since her fighting game origins allow for a ton of possible method to prepare to kick. Matoi was used a lot for posing and references, not much for animation or movement. Asuka / KANA was probably the most direct referencing with the end of the fight being entirely based on this showmatch ending where she KOs the opponent who then falls on her and gets the win ( i.imgur.com/g1kVrtq.gif ). Tifa did a backflip, that is all. 2B was used to model Commander's walk due to having the ability to gather footage of this action and because they both wear heels. And then again other things were used to reference but I can't list all the Google Images Type: Animated images that I just scrolled by and didn't break down.
The fact that you actually made this is insane, the ambition is off the charts. I've already mentioned that I fear the Hub won't fully appreciate the work that went into it, but your effort shows. (Like that part where Commander grabs Toobie's leg holy crap)
Ayy, congrats on finishing it! I still can't believe you managed to animate an entire minute of this (including fight scenes). It's extremely impressive!

At the end, is that 2B or not 2B? That is the question.
That is 'Also 2B' /joke
(This is fantastic, btw.)

Not sue in any way how she hypnotized blondie there?
I mean she can do it any way she wants since Commander cannot bench a 2B.
