I always associate this picture with the website Hypnosis in Media, which was the premier site for finding hypnosis references in cartoons, tv shows, comics and so much more, until it kinda fell apart a few years ago. This was the first image you'd see on the site, so it always brings back happy memories :) I'm not sure it counts as 'real' though, since it's an illustration. I don't think it's based on a real thing.
