Guys, do you have dating online experience. how was it?? any pros or cons

big gripe I have these days is that most of the dating apps are trying to be like tinder these days, which IMO makes good communication harder and pushes for the hookup culture I don't participate in

good example is like, it used to be on Okcupid when someone sent you a message you'd get a notification and it would be in your inbox like normal, but now they try to hide it from you- you get a notification that "someone" sent you a message, but you have to go fishing through their not-tinder stack of profiles until you find it (if you even can)

I had some decent experiences with it. Across a couple of sites I found one nice but shorter then I'd like relationship, a few fun dates and one pretty terrible one. More hits then misses overall
