We've all been in the situation Hatsume Mei found herself in.
It's Christmas Eve, and she suddenly realised she was so caught up in her work that she'd totally forgotten to buy anyone presents. And now all the shops were totally sold out of basically everything, and it was far, far too late to hope to actually get anyone any gifts they might actually want...
Fortunately, Hatsume was a problem solver.
She knew of a certain girl in the Hero Course's Class 1A with a rather incredible Quirk, enabling her to produce any non-living thing from her body if she understood its mechanical and chemical makeup. Of course, Momo Yaoyorozu had a rule against irresponsible use of her Quirk, but...well, her desire to avoid accidentally ruining the Japanese economy wasn't particularly helpful and, with a little help from one of Hatsume's babies, it was easily forgotten.
Now Momo was all too happy to help out an acquaintance of a friend, using her Quirk to endlessly pump out as many presents as Hatsume needed or wanted, and as soon as she snapped out of it she'd wake up with no memory of ever being mind controlled...
...she was...pretty sure this one wasn't permanent, and Momo would snap out of it as soon as someone yanked the headset - disguised as a tasteful festive accessory! - off her head...
...er...okay, so she was, like...80% sure that was the finished version, anyway, and not the prototype that totally erased a person's entire lifetime's worth of memory when it was removed...
...
...it was probably safer to just leave her like this. Juuuust in case...
