Hello! I wanted to show off another CG set from my hypno-themed visual novel, Penlight. Link's in the source if you haven't heard about it yet and are curious.

Anyway, in contrast to the other CG set I posted here, this one's supposed to depict a consensual hypno scene. Nozomi, after a little negotiation, agrees to follow the protagonist home and with the help of his customized penlight he gets to try taking her into trance and giving her some agreed-upon, simple suggestions. As Nozomi effortlessly drops under the amateur hypnotist's light, neither of them stop to wonder if things might be going a little TOO well...

I love your work! I love seeing some more "realistic" portrayals of hypnosis than the usual glowing or spiral eyes. Keep up the great work please!

Just played through the whole game the other night. I found the "villain routes" [spoilers] (anything following the "Boyfriend hypnosis" initial choice) [/spoilers] to be a little too joyless for my taste, but most of the other routes were pretty interesting.

I find it interesting that in the endings [spoilers]
The protagonist seems to be unable to be happy in any morally bad end. From the robot/delusion ends where he's just bored, to the "devoted" path where he's in jail, dude can't seem to have a good time with his brainwashed thralls. I wonder if this is because you're trying to infuse a moral lesson in the VN, suggesting that making bad choices should make the player feel bad, and making good choices should make them feel good? This could just be down to my personal interpretation though.

To be clear, I'm not at all saying it's a bad thing to push a moral message. It's just unusual in a genre (Mind control kink) that's almost aggressively amoral in most cases. [/spoilers]

Overall an interesting story, definitely want to come back to it when there's more of it.
