um, no, I don't think Mana could really sneak up on Neko-Musume like that. Have only watched some episodes of the show, but She's got strength and agility FAR Beyond that of the average joe, not to mention enhanced perception and the senses of a cat, which if I'm correct, can perceieve sounds even DOGS fail to process.
A Cat's senses are 9-16x stronger than a Human's, so Neko-Musume could hear and smell infected Mana coming from a MILE AWAY The only hope Infected Mana would have to infest Neko-Musume is either stealth (by concealing herself to look before infection, she may be able to alter skin through makeup, but she'd have to spread a whole lot of it on her body, and she'd have trouble hiding her red eyes of doom, which you don't need Neko-Musume's senses to tell that isn't in the range of a normal human's eye color. The fangs could be explained as a small added touch to the cosplay, but if she fed on anyone during her disguise time before meeting Neko-Musume, then she'd definitely be able to tell something's up and to stay away from Mana when the scent of blood touched her nose every time Mana opened her mouth, so yeah, no-go there.) Or to overpower Neko-Musume and paralyze her through brute force. Although that'd make such a racket that Kitaro would have come there and helped Neko against the infected Mana. Neko can fight against tough monsters like fighting off a Gashadokuro with friends and has been shown to kick her fair share of ass in the show. Mana's probably only won some verbal arguments and sprained her ankle once by that point. If she HAS a power increase from the infection, then it probably isn't enough to stop Neko. So I'm pretty sure that if this actually played out, Neko would have Mana restrained and have ordered Kitaro & Co. to come up with a remedy, and if impossible, mercy kill her.
