Hm. Randomised loot by coupon. That needs to look hard at the drop table. Is the best stuff Gacha only, or from other means? I mean, hunting down the perfect looking outfit and putting those in the coupons would easily be a way of miney making...

Well if it's anything like the game I grew up on *cough* Maplestory *cough*
The Gatcha machine/system would have high powered stuff available in the pool, but you can get it normally by other means. It's just a paid shortcut. Only things that were exclusive to the Gatcha were like...super Mob Spawn increase for 2 hours or whatever or permanent versions of convenience items.
Or it could all just be cosmetics. There's ways to balance it without it being too "pay to win".

I sure hope the gatcha aspects are more fair then any other gatchas. I want to know how this works before buying my copy of Hypno Art Online. Fair monetization in a game designed to enslave my will is more important then ever!

Now we are getting into action!

Judging from the cover, I assume that Viltai will be brain-drained by the Slime and Gemna will be entranced by the Sneks (again...). So that leaves Aurora to be charmed.

Maybe in her trance, Gemna will start dancing which will cast Charm Spell on Aurora? I feel like the cover kind-of supports that possibility.

Pon may also do something, since she is already in trance, but that's just a baseless guess.

Unless by "which I will now demonstrate on you" we mean only the Brain Drain. Matter of interpretation while waiting for the continuation.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if waaay later it turns out that R'hyll isn't an NPC. Since the "NPC Marking" is only on the robe, which has completely different colour than the rest of his clothes (and Pon's eyes, which is important since she is mind-controlled). It really looks like an item stolen from actual NPC.

Also:

1. Pon is wearing something that resemblance underwear. That's a new.

2. The previous page (with Empty-Eyes Pon and Question-Mark Viltai) has the best faces.

3. Gemna in the first panel of this page looks soooooooo fucking pure. This is the face you want to protect.

So great job. We only have 4 pages of introduction so far but those were very, veery enjoyable. At least in my opinion.


PS. It is funny how much "Gacha PTSD" this one panel caused.
