In the Dark Multiverse, there's always a small ray of light. However, some of the light can be swallowed by the darkness and become twilight. On one Dark Earth, Jade had absorbed the power of the Starheart, the source of power for the Green Lantern Alan Scott. This newfound power was incomplete though, she needed to balance the light with darkness. She absorbed the shadow powers of her brother, Obsidian. The darkness changed her, she dubbed herself the Twilight Queen and began taking control of people's minds with her new powers. Never stopping until all fell to Twilight.
