I will 100% fight that accusation. Uraraka is probably my favorite female shonen lead atm.

I used to be a huge Naruto fan and I just wished with all of my being that characters like Sakura got more arcs like the one during her fight with Sasori, as opposed to just "girl sad over boy." Uraraka is (mostly) safe from that.
She is still a female shonen character though.

I can't really recall any female shonen leads being dumbasses though. Sakura, Maki (Fire Force), Uraraka...they are all pretty dang intelligent/crafty when the narrative actually gives them the light of day.
