But her hair is brown in this pic. :P
Also, I have to ask, why "Makise"? I mean, I know Okabe was usually called by his last name by the characters in the show, but as far as I remember, Kurisu was always "Kurisu" or "Christina". It seems weird to choose to address her by her last name in the text.

In most illustrations I've seen the hair is closer to red so I refer to her as a red head, plus in comparison to other character in the show who have pure brown hair it just makes it more obvious. =c=
And I just like the way Makise sounds, Kurisu doesnt roll off the tongue as nicely for me, and Christina I just consider a nickname so I don't usually use it.

Well you can tell that to Mr Ogodei >.> I'm just the guy drawing all over the face <.<
although I find it odd that referring to her formally can be so off putting, if anything I find the formality a plus, but then again I'm a sucker for the "well dressed formal types" so that's probably why I prefer it.

Honestly, I probably wouldn't mind it so much if she was addressed that way in the show, but she wasn't. It bugs me the same way it does when I read a comment on a Touhou pic on Gelbooru where the commenter refers to Yukari as "Yakumo", as if he doesn't know that Japanese names are in reverse order and Yakumo is her surname. Plus, if you like someone, don't you call them by their first name? I'm not gonna say "Kurisu is mai waifu", because that would be silly, but she is one of my favorite characters ever, and it just seems so cold and impersonal to call her by her surname.
That, and I think "Kurisu" is a beautiful name. Kurisu... It just makes me tingle.

Well I personally always had a habit of calling everyone I know by their last name, from random peers I barely talked with to my closest friends so I can't relate in that sense. But I do get the idea your getting at.
I can just go and upload an edited version, I can see that this would be like calling Mami from Madoka Magica Tomoe, which definitely would sound weird for me since it's pretty much established everyone calls her Mami. I'll go ahead and do it, just give me a yes or no. It will take no time at all too.
