I'll admit that I have absolutely no idea about the plot of MLP or Equestria Girls, so I apologize if this makes absolutely no sense to someone who's a fan. I just saw this pic and thought this interpretation of it would be hot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It’s... feasible. We know that there are time travel spells and we know that there is some magic in the Equestrian Girls universe. The only plot hole I could see would be how Sunset is using her magic (She’s limited to friendship and I want to say Telepathy/Empathy some sort of psionic discipline)

More than that, most time spells result in a a stable time loop
