I was alive back then. In fact I was born six years prior, one week after "Day of the Dumpster". I am aware people cross these over and compare them a lot. Frankly I find it insulting. A lot of my pokemon vs digimon comments (especially on here) heavily state I find Digimon underrated and Pokemon over. Ask anybody who have seen my comments

I don't find the crossover insulting. I find comparing the two insulting. Far as anime goes, Digimon is far superior. Pokemon make good games, but anime not so much. Look at Sun and Moon for evidence. Unlike Digimon, quality of the anime went down

They're both monster collecting/raising/training/battling franchises from the 90s, though. That's why the crossover happens so often. Back in the day, Monster Rancher got put in the same group, but nobody remembers Monster Rancher anymore.

By missing the point, you've ended up proving it.

If you were a tween in the late 90's (especially if you didn't have internet), these two shows were the foundation of your otakudom. To some, Poke vs Digi was their Wars vs Trek, similar to how you are right now. Regardless, you drank this shit up for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.
