I just searched the tag on Danbooru. There's only 4 posts with it, no wiki page, and it doesn't seem to correspond with anything (except maybe aquatic girls? There's a mermaid pic and one with Squid Girl). Seems to not be a valid tag.

Hideauze are a race of squid-like beings in Gargantia On the Verdurous Planet. They are, in space, at war with humanity, and have been for many, many generations. On the "verdurous planet", however, the main protagonist is surprised to see them as mostly animalistic and much unlike the ones in space. It is a valid tag, assuming we're tagging races (that don't have character names or any particularly iconic character to them) in anime, like one would do for various races in RPGs, such as Draenei from WoW or Drow from Dungeons and Dragons. Doesn't really seem necessary, though. Who's gonna search for this?
