Hey everyone! I’m back with another commission courtesy of BlueBullPen, this time featuring my favorite girl from each mainline Danganronpa game!
I gotta say, I love how well BBP mimicked the style of Danganronpa’s art. It’s really cool!
And, as usual with me, a little story to go along with it! (Contains some Danganronpa 1, 2 V3 spoilers)
“I can’t believe the boss has us doing this…” one agent said, as he walked through the hall towards the large room at the end.
“Hey. The boss is a powerful man. He wants these girls, he gets them.” the other replied, shrugging.
“Yeah but… ain’t this gonna get people coming after him?”
“People coming after the Ultimate Hypnotist? Somehow doubt that. Boss has what few powerful families are left under his control. And that Future Foundation guy… What was his name? Nuggy? Nougat?”
“Naegi”
“Right. Him. Plus that Towa guy. I’m pretty sure nobody can touch him. Especially since one of the girls he had us get is the Ultimate Assassin.”
The two men entered the operating room. A panel of buttons and lights spread out on the console before them, as well as a massive, glass window overlooking a large room. Inside the room, strapped to metal chairs, were three women. The first, Chiaki Nanami, the Ultimate Gamer. The second, Kyoko Kirigiri, the Ultimate Detective, and finally, Maki Harukawa, the Ultimate Assassin.
“Hm. That Maki girl seems like she’s uh…” the first guard began, looking down at Maki who, was struggling to escape her bindings, was doing so in an almost professional and collected manner*
“Eh. Even if she gets out of her restraints, she’s stuck in that room.” the other shrugged. “Anyway, gotta turn on the boss's machine and all that.”
He pressed a button on the console. As he did, the entire room changed, the walls and floors all morphing to one, giant spiral. To anyone in the room it felt like you were literally being held within the spiral itself, unable to discern floor, from wall, from ceiling.
“What the hell is this?” Maki snarled.
“It seems to be some kind of brainwashing chamber. Close your eyes, quickly.” Kyoko said, her calm demeanor not breaking as she closed her eyes. Maki and Chiaki followed suit.
“I’ve seen things like this in games. Usually they have a failsafe in case people close their eyes like this” Chiaki mused. And as she did, one of the men pressed another button.
A piercing ring echoed through the room, and laced overtop of it, a soothing voice.
“Serve. Obey. Serve. Obey.” repeating over and over.
“Oh. Yep. That’s what I was expecting.” she added
“Now we just gotta wait.” one man said, sitting down in a chair and kicking back.
“What’s the boss want with these girls anyway? I know two of them are Future Foundation, but the boss is already in with them, right?”
The other man looked at him and smirked.
“It’s for uh… more carnal reasons.”
“...Oh… Hey you think we should do the other message first?”
The man pressed another button, and the words changed.
“Open your eyes. Open your eyes. Open your eyes”
“That’s annoying…” Maki hissed.
“Whatever you do, just keep talking. Try to drown it out. Got it?” Kyoko stated.
“Fine. I don’t know what to say, but I’ll do it” Maki replied
“Chiaki. What about you?”
But Chiaki didn’t respond. Her eyes were open as she stared into the spirally abyss.
“Chiaki? Hey! Can you hear me?!”
The words changed back.
“Serve. Obey. Serve. Obey” Chiaki droned along with them.
“Chiaki!” Kyoko boomed with concern, her calm demeanor breaking. A bead of sweat ran down Maki’s forehead.
“So she’s been taken already then?”
Kyoko gritted her teeth.
“I won’t listen. I won’t listen. I won’t listen” she repeated to herself. Maki joined in, and the two continued chanting.

A few hours later, the two men sat in the control room, playing tic-tac-toe.
“Ugh… this sucks man. Why are these two so resilient?”
“They’ll lose their composure eventually. All that talking has to be hurting their jaws.”
They look back down, seeing both girls wavering. Maki’s hands are clenched, as is her teeth. She is trying her best to say the words through her teeth, but it’s clearly having limited effect. Her words weakening and wavering.
Kyoko is still going stronger. Seeming calm and composed. But they could tell she was having trouble keeping up. Her jaw tense and stiff.
“I… I w...won’t... “ Maki tried to continue, but it was becoming too much for her.
“S...serve… o...obey…?” she said.
Kyoko tensed up, but kept going. Even if the others had failed, she wouldn’t.
“Damn. This Kyoko chick is crazy.” one man said.
“Take the other two out.” a voice said from behind them. The two men turned to see him there, the Ultimate Hypnotist, behind them. Standing in his purple suit with his white hair flowing behind him with each step.
They did as he said, releasing Chiaki and Maki, who obediently made their way out of the room.
The Ultimate Hypnotist stepped forward, tapping a few buttons on the dial.
The spiral began to flash different colors, the voice and piercing sound growing louder, drowning out Kyoko’s voice.
“B-boss! Isn’t this dangerous?!”
“Not to someone as smart and determined as her. She’ll submit, but it won’t break her mind. Send them to me when she’s done.”
And with that, he left the room.

He sat in his office, waiting patiently, looking over dossiers.
“Hm… Aoi Asahina… she’s kinda cute. Maybe I’ll--- woah…” he said, as the next dossier passed his face. “THIS one is something. And her last name is…? Interesting. They must be related. Maybe I’ll send them after her next.”
As he finished his thought, the doors to his office opened.
Chiaki, Kyoko, and Maki all stood before him. Naked, empty-eyed, and smiling. Though Kyoko still wore her signature gloves.
“Hello Master” they began
“I am Chiaki Nanami”
“I am Kyoko Kirigiri”
“I am Maki Harukawa”
“And we are the Ultimate Hypnotized Slaves. How may we serve you, Master?” they said together.
The man smirked, looking over his three newest prizes.
“Ah. It should be illegal to be this blessed” he laughed.

I actually only found it about halfway through 2020 and immediately fell in love with the series. Granted. I do unfortunately think the games get worse as they go. But even so, they're fantastic!
