Hoooooooold the fuck up. The members of Class 78 KNOW Junko is the Ultimate Despair, and they just let her hang out with them like nothing is wrong? Shouldn't she be in jail for, you know, trying to destroy human civilization as we know it? Or does being the "Ultimate Despair" mean something different in this AU, and if so, what is it?
I guess you got to suspend your disbelief for this. I don't think it matters for this scenario anyway.

They know about her obsession with despair, and that it's her big talent, but the whole incident never happened. She's being kept an eye on however for this reason, and a lot of suspicion will be placed on her for it later on.
In other words, it's being treated closer to a regular HPA talent in this AU.
