Zko has said (in the Patreon comments for this specific sketch no less) that people coloring sketches is fine, so it doesn't seem like an untoward imposition to link Bzurrrf's version up with the original.

Having it be a child post of the original would make more sense. Having it be in the pool implies it's part of the series of pictures, which is fine if, say, there's only one version, but if more people color it, then you have multiple versions getting put in the pool by a variety of artists. Pools tend to be one artist or one commissioner. Having it be open ended makes it easy for it to be messy, unlike if they just are child posts.
