I tried something different and experimented with some of the painting tools in CSP. The result is... not very good!

You know what is good?

The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Look, I know by default hypnohub is primarily for kinky sexy fun times, but sometimes you have a lot of Emotions that have to go somewhere, and seeing as this is a piece about possession & mind control (even in a different context) I figured I could share the result here.

I re-watched some parts of Bly Manor again recently and had a few good, cathartic cries as a result. There are very few jumpscares, drawing all of its horrors by setting the atmosphere & perfectly creating the sense that something is very WRONG. It's also extremely touching, and is a great story about processing grief. If you haven't seen it, please give it a watch! It's on Netflix.

I really like the works of Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep especially), so I really should give this series a spin.

It's got a lot of parallels to Hill House while still being its own thing, which I think is really cool!

And if you care about literary references, it's also a wonderful mishmash of many of Henry James' stories -- Turn of the Screw primarily (obviously), but also The Romance of Certain Old Clothes, with others like The Beast in the Jungle and The Jolly Corner peppered in, too. I definitely recommend it.
