Can I just take a moment to express my hate for the term "love triangle"?
A love triangle needs at least one gay/bi/les/whatevs person to function, whilst most media won't portray that. It's almost always a love corner, and it sucks to be trapped there

To be fair, Love Triangle is a misnomer. You are also making the assumption that two members being attracted to a third. When it could be a scenario like in that one sarcastic anime trailer about Naruto. Where A likes B and hates C, B likes C and hates A, and C likes A and hates B. Typing this out makes me see what you mean though. Like those Twilight books the modern definition of love triangle is usually just two parties fighting over a third. I think this like a parkway and driveway thing, the names are stupid and not necessarily accurate
Saw a good phrase that describes what most people are thinking of when they hear "Love Triangle."
