Everybody knows that if a mommy Pokemon and a daddy Pokemon love each other very much, they send a prayer to Celebi and it brings them an Egg. Mating ritual? I have no idea what you're talking about.

And here I always thought they just didn't want to explain certain facts of life to ten-year-olds, but I guess I do like the Celebi one better. After all, eggs didn't even exist in gen1, and neither did Celebi...
