I suppose I ought to explain myself, huh?

I few of you might have noticed me popping up here and there lately, despite being retired. Some people have apparently wanted to know if that means I’m back, which is flattering. =)
To be honest, I’ve kind of been avoiding the question, since I haven’t really had a good answer. But, for now, I think the answer is still no, Black Wave is not back. Or at least, things won’t be the way they were before. I may drop stuff here or on twitter from time to time, but I’m making no long-term commitments.
So with that in mind, how do I justify, uh… all this? *gestures to above*

Well, the story’s longer than you might think, and less interesting than you might hope. But, here it is just in case. See, not too long ago, I finally found my way out of a months-long hardware failure situation that left me unable to do anything requiring more power than the 12 volt adapter on my vehicle’s dashboard provided (thank goodness for the Switch’s undocked mode). This included drawing, or drawing digitally, anyway, which is how I’d become accustomed to doing it. After I finally got back up and running, I spent a long time catching up on everything I missed so dearly. And, I guess because I was trying to get the sense memory of putting pen to tablet again, I ended up falling back on doodling a lot of what I knew best, which happens to be curvy ladies in a variety of hypnotized poses. I guess inspiration struck, too, because it was around this time that I started conceptualizing what you see above, which is not only a massive drawing I’ve been chipping away at for months, but also a much larger project including detailed profiles for every original character appearing here, plus others that occupy a larger, fleshed-out world centered on their college campus, for which I have several story ideas. Will any of that stuff ever see the light of day? Couldn’t tell ya! But for now, I’m content to share this and hope others enjoy it. Peace. B)

I'm glad you said that, cus I remember one of the main things I wanted to accomplish with this was to see if I could make a compelling hypno-scenario that skipped the hypno. All the best stuff happens in your imagination. ;)
