I'm noticing a lot of manips lately that are missing the "manip" tag (not just MCaesar's).
I'm also still seeing a lot of incorrect uses of the source field (again, not just MCaesar).
Sorry for hijacking the comments. Just wanted to get those two statements out there.

My apologies. I try to think of every little thing I can, but I'm probably missing big, obvious ones like that all the time. With regards to the source, should I link directly to the individual Collective posts? They're behind a login, so I figured if anyone really wanted to see them, knowing it's on the HPC and I'm the manipper is enough to find it.

Well, the source should always be a link to the specific page the image can be found on whenever possible. However, in the case of manips, I (and I'm sure many others) would greatly prefer if the source linked to the original, unaltered image, preferably on the artist's gallery (dA, H-F, FA, pixiv, etc.) where those who like their art can see more and give pageviews, favorites, likes, whatever.

I see. Some of the manips I'm uploading are years old; sources may be difficult to track down, and I may not have gotten them from the original artist anyway. But I'll try.

Understandable. Like I said, that's just what we'd prefer whenever possible. We try to give the original artists the credit they deserve. It helps those who enjoy the art to find more, and it also helps us cut down on the number of angry takedown requests we get. :P

And we've only gotten one ANGRY takedown so far! So we must be doing something right. :P The rest of our takedown requests were either very pleasant or, at worst, blunt and to the point.
