You‘re assuming she first got hypnotized here. For all we know adam put a triger in her to have her turn like this at some earlier point and is now just using it.

Besides, it‘s not like this series gas given a single fuck about RWBY canon thus far. The fact that this picture features both Adam and Short haired Blake should've been a dead giveaway.
