You know, generally speaking, if you can find a doujin in Spanish, you can find it in English.

The english translator don't allow to publish his scans.

I'd honestly love to see him try to file a DMCA for a comic he didn't write, publish, or even scan himself.

Well, artists on the "do not post" blacklist draws copyright characters, so they can't DMCA, but even so the site don't allow to post their stuff for respect to the artist.

If the translator don't want his work here, it can't be helped xD.

That's untrue. The art is still their copyright. It's a very different scenario to a manga scanlation.

If it worked that way, then videogame companies wouldn't go around shutting off music covers on youtube because the artist would have the copyrights of his cover, but that's not the case.

Artists can draw anything, but it's a mistake to think that you have copyright of non-OCs just because you drew it, and we're all aware of that.

It's just that companies that own the rights are OK with artists drawing their characters, attack an artist would only cause them unnecessary issues with the fandom and the doujin culture.

That’s not a fair equivalence at all. From the examples you listed, such as fan art, song covers, and doujins, all of those are typically created from scratch to become their own derivative works. A scanlation is closer to a manip, as it involves mostly editing out the original translation to swap out the new one. To say that a scanlator has complete ownership over it seems fairly dubious, especially for any scanlations of doujins that ask to not be redistributed via third party sites.

You're minunderstanding something. When i talked about art and copyright is because that rude comment about cease and desist just because the translator don't want to share his stuff here. It's all about respect about the work of the people, translating is also time consuming, and if that person don't want to share his stuff is as valid as an artist that want his name on the do not post list.
