As a villain, I feel that it is my right to destroy that drug and The Count as it better to let them have some free will while being living statues.

What is the point of Free will if they're still STATUES? They'd be locked into bodies that can't move, emote, talk or respond, it'd be a far worse torture then shutting their cognitive brains off while also freezing them like statues.
