The art style being so cutesy certainly doesn't help matters. Though I suppose it emphasizes there's something very WRONG with this world. And there aren't any "heroes" in this story to fix things either.

why would they need fixing, now there all going to get an amaizing education to help get them amazing. well paying jobs when they graduate. whats evil about that i ask you

be on a privative world that the company sets up shop on and hope you get lucky or attract there attention. or be an orphan like Elaine was cyberverse likes taking in those with poor prospects and giving them a hand they would never get in life.
