An original character in the Pathfinder setting that I had drawn by an artist (linked in the source), Pragmatist Tyrdaste.
Pragmatist is an intellect devourer, a brain-like alien not native to Pathfinder's primary setting, the planet Golarion. They steal the bodies of humanoids by psionically subduing them and then eating their brain, inhabiting the skull to take its place and usually assuming the identity, at least for a while. Pragmatist's host is called Tyrdaste, who was a dark elf outcast exploring the surface after fleeing from her home in her racial capital. She was attacked by a group of bandits and left for dead, which is when Pragmatist found her; the drow became the creature's first host.
Pragmatist is also an outcast, being considered an unwanted mutation. Rather than using up a body and moving on to a new one, she meticulously maintains her dark elven form with exercise, balanced nutrition and occasionally by surrounding herself with 'companions.' The agility and swiftness of the fighter's body is supported by the immense psychic power of the monster within it; Pragmatist projects a manifestation of itself to act on the world around her long before it gets within range of her mundane weapons.
