The drow exterior, already intimidating and nefarious by nature, has been adapted by its inhabitant to facilitate the consumption of prey without the need to abandon its lithe and capable host. When the activity has concluded, the devourer's tendrils fold back into the face, the scars on the cheeks and chin the only faint suggestion that a monster from another world wears this freckled flesh as its own.
This is beyond creepy and a nice approach to the Intellect Devourer archetype that I hadn't thought of. Thanks for the ideas, tho my party will probably hate you for it soon enough.

They'll hate it for as long as they can make those will saves, at least!
Super Cool Character! I'm actually playing a similar character to this in my D&D Campaign. He's an Aberrant Mind Sorcerer who's backstory was that he was a failed Mind Flayer expirament and now he's trying to hide that fact from the world. He has the same mouth and cheek scars actually! Also, sometimes when he casts spells he'll just keel over and start hacking up black mucas as a bunch of hidden tenticles try to force themselves out of his throat.
