I've always disliked the character, personally - seems to me like what would happen if the author doesn't realize just how quickly complete, remote, involuntary mind control breaks a setting. You basically end up with the character either writing every other character for you or using their abilities at a rate that makes the power level unnecessary. Given that she can modify the granular details of memories IIRC she's quite literally writing and rewriting other characters on a whim. The only way I think you could feasibly pull of giving a character that level of power (which is effectively the level of power of all the people they can control combined, expanded exponentially by memory manipulation that makes constant direct control upkeep unnecessary) is by tying it with either such an extreme reluctance/fear/hatred of using it that it might involve actively trying to prevent themselves from ever doing it, or a level of strategic incompetence so extreme that it makes self sabotage look likelier than anything else, including random chance.

3/10 mind control, Staryu is the better star/eye MC combo. :P
