do we name specific MC techniques? I mean, we have one for geass but I'm not sure about other methods

I imagine the technique would have to be rather prevalent and well known, like geass.

I think we use a control method tag if it is apparent that is what is controlling them in the picture. A microchip on the fore head gets the tech_control tag. The victem being under a spell gets the magic tag, ect.

well, yeah tech and magic tags cover the broad strokes. What I meant was specific MC abilities/techniques. Like, if a character has a special signature move that has hypnotic effects, should we tag the name of that specific move.

For the most part, no. Not unless next to everyone knows what it is, like geass.

Three things:

1) Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters are obviously characters to be tagged, but should we do the same when the shown character isn't actually the card itself? The character in this image is an original character that is also a "Mirror Knight Token" summoned by the effect of the monster "Mirror Knight Calling" which itself is not shown in the image; do we tag the token, the name of the card it's summoned by, or none of these?

2) Should The Seal of Orichalcos be tagged as a character (though it's not really a character), because it is a thing that belongs to a copyrighted work?

3) The card name is "The Seal of Orichalos", which if the tag remains at all, it should be altered to after an answer to the previous question.

1) Might want to just use "mirror knight" for everything.

2) Only characters should have character tags.

3) "The" is extra fluff that doesn't add any extra information; and in fact is actually inappropriate since this is a non-canon website and you can expect someday that an orgy may show up where there are 15 people respectively under the control of "15 the seals". Similarly if there's a hat in an image we tag it "hat", not "a hat"

Seems unnecessary to go any further than this, yeah. What are the chances someone will actually have trouble sorting through the amount of mirror_knight tagged images to find the one in question? :P I agree.

I was going to say this, because it's true. It's not that we tag anything that's from a copyright as a character, it's that we only tag characters from a copyright. The reason for this is to avoid having to look up the name for an tag every original character that will inevitably make its way here, which would be entirely excessive and unneeded - how many OCs would honestly be searched for?

I laughed at the hat example. This is also spot on with my thinking.

In short: greasyi's a tag whore. Not many get tags better than he. :3

I imagined the horse-face in your avatar saying this. I am now equal amounts amused and disturbed.
