We all know about Spider-Gwen, but Peter should never forget about his Gwen Stacy. Especially now that she has risen into the Black Lantern Corps.

Special Prize to Olstheway for his entry into my "Marvel vs DC Roster" Competition for suggesting a "Black Lantern Gwen Stacy" as a character.

My DC Lore is kind of shit but is there a reason that the Black Lantern Corp is so…evil? To my understanding DC Death is pretty fucking chill as a person so I don’t understand why the Corp is the way that it is

The Black Lantern Corps was created and ruled over by an entity called Nekron, and sometimes ruled by Black Hand when the other isnt around. Nekron inhabited the void that existed before the universe, all life springing from this weird angel looking creature. Nekron considers that being an invader and thief, including everything that spawned as a result of it. He's not the actual embodiment of the concept his corps is focused around, he's just copying the premise of the lantern corps to wipe out life and take back what he believes was stolen from him.
And on a meta level, you could interpret him a metaphor for DC comics constantly sabotaging themselves with reboots and fake deaths to get shock value interest. The only reason he's around is because the universe they lived in was just a recreation of the ones before the whole "Infinite Crisis" thing.
