I think it’s a part of the pseudo-drunk logic of their altered-perceptions. Like “We need lose weight, Hymens have weight, having sex removes hymens, person (coach?) is going to have sec with us, it all makes sense” The actual biology involved doesn’t matter, the just have to think it makes sense
