None taken, that actually is a good question on your end. Unless you were a real big Avatar fan and read the novels, saw some of the sketched artwork, etc. you probably would have no idea what Kyoshi looked like without her makeup, so it's totally understandable. I just so happened to be one of those individuals who knew, and wanted to shake up the art you normally see of Kyoshi.
