Well, that's not what it means. The girls all have an idea of what being a Spiral Slave is supposed to be. That being endless sex and pleasure. That's what's being alluded to here. In this series, David is socially awkward and not very good with talking to girls, as it was depicted in Ami's chapter. Sure, David may have always fantasized bout this, but now that he is in the fantasy, he wants to take it slow and be a bit more romantic with the girls as he cares about them for just a simple 'wham, bam, thank you ma'am' kind of fling. This is where the comedy comes in as we see the girls trying to please their master but David being reluctant to take them to 'heaven and beyond'. It's one way I made this series different from the original. Not to mention I have a chapter planned which shows Ami and 18's relationship growing as they have a 'connection' that will be explained in that chapter as well.
I get what you mean, its just all 3 doms here are building their own hypnotized harems so him denying it is kinda silly. Maybe it wouldn't be if David wasn't responsible for Ami being enslaved to him (like if his sister or mom did it for him without him knowing, or like he produces hypnotic pheromones he can't control).
But I've said this before, I do much prefer the "romantic hypno dom". That's basically what I'm going for w/ one of my oc's in a fairy tail hypno fanfic. Basically he's in a town where hypnotizing outsiders into slaves is almost like sport but to him, when he sees Erza, he's thinking to himself that he has to enslave her or someone else will but he'll make sure she's more than just a slave, more like a lover/wife.
