Whatever did happen to her Goldeen? I don’t remember any particular focus on it after Kanto, mostly her Corsola, Togepi/Togetic, and she picked up a Gyrados at some point. I don’t remember hearing about Staryu, Starmie, or Horsea either.

Damn it… now it’s going to bug me if I don’t look up those mons last appearances

The Misty Mermaid, Season 1. At the end of the ep, her sisters asked to borrow her Goldeen and Starmie as well as well as take care of Horsea.

My guess is it was to make more room for her team for new Pokemon in upcoming seaso

They didn't ask for Goldeen. It stayed with Misty throughout the entirely of both Orange Islands and Johto but did nothing significant in all that time.

I'm not joking when I say that Togepi got a technical official win before Goldeen.
1
