In the storyline of Magic's latest set, Tamiyo ends up being kidnapped by Tezzeret and the Praetor, Jin Gitaxias, being compleated into the first Phyrexian Planeswalker. Her body warped into a bio-mechanical monstrosity, but her personality remains intact... but with a newfound loyalty to her Phyrexian masters. Phyrexia is Tamiyo's family now, and she would do anything to ensure her family is safe and succeeds.
And as Jin's words imply, Tamiyo may be the first, but she will be far from the last.

Tamiyo is one of my favorite characters, and honestly, I am super depressed with this change of events. Hopefully Teferi can pull some time BS and restore her back to normal.
Personally, I'm hoping Ajani will be involved, since it's been established that they are friends.
Of course, it will probably be at least 10 more years before we see the conclusion, since it was eleven years between Nicol Bolas becoming Magic's main villain and losing his spark.
So... about 2032...

Agreed that this'll be a long term problem, it'd be pretty lame if they just undid it quickly. Also likely we'll see other walkers suffer the same fate, moneys on Ahsiok currently being next, since they where last heard of going to see Phyreixans after finding out what they are from Elspeth.
On another note, I have seen some smut in relation to this on twitter but it'll be hard to find it again given how awful searching anything on twitter is.

To be honest, while I enjoy corruption in porn, it disturbs me to see strong, interesting female characters canonically turned into zombie cyborgs. First Glissa, now this?
Let us not forget what happened to Avacyn, Gisela and Bruna. Tazri almost went the same way in BFZ too. As much as I too like corruption it happens to women in MtG with alarming regularity.
