[spoiler=Long answer]
The plot in this series is for Shido to seal Spirits so that they don't cause "spacequakes" by...dating and kissing them. (You know...Date A Live)

In Miku's case:
Shido needed to crossdress for Miku because of Miku's strong hatred towards men (she is a hardcore lesbian).

Miku views men as slaves and girls as dolls or servants because of past traumatic experiences.

Shiori declared Miku that "she" hates her because Miku intentionally caused a spacequake and said that her brainwashed fans would love to die for her. After hearing that Shiori will always deny Miku even when she controls the whole world, Miku wants to break Shiori by beating her in a bet.

If she wins the bet, Shori and all the Spirits she sealed will become hers and if she loses she agrees to get sealed (because before the bet she didn't want to get sealed)

The bet is that Shiori's school needs to beat Miku's school in an upcoming concert school festival. (Which is hard because Miku is an famous idol and a pretty good singer)
