I meandepends on how you define consent and the type of mind control I guess. Like, if someone is mind controlled so they cant take violent acts against anyone, or fight back at all. And someone has sex with them, theres no guarantee that they gave consent, just that they didnt fight back. On the other hand if someone is brainwashed to want to have sex with someone, and nothing stops them from doing so, then they would have sex while eagerly giving their consent.Ive heard arguments that brainwashing someone and having sex with them is rape and murder, but I really cant see it being both, and theres enough nuance for it to be a debateSome people argue that sleeping with someone brainwashed even if they gave consent while brainwashed counts as rape, something akin to roofies or sleeping with a drunk woman. Id argue that that even brainwashed there are still capable of enough cognitive functions that they can give consent, otherwise you claim that they cant give consent because of their beliefs and by that logic active members of religions cant give consent either Ive heard brainwashing be referred to as murder and that one I understand a bit more, its a case where the brainwashed self is not necessarily the same as the free self, and as such you can argue that the free self died. Id argue by that logic life murdered the me of 10 years ago, people change due to influence, in this case the influence was actively directed and quick but its fundamentally not any different And even if someone makes the claim that its both, then I have a proof that says otherwise. To claim its rape you make the implicit assumption that the free self is alive and would not consent, but if you make the claim it is alive it cant be murder because the free self is alive. Similarly if you make the claim that its murder, you are acknowledging that the free self is dead and that the brainwashed self is its own individual, one thats capable of giving consentTL;DRDepends on the type of mind control, full blown I am your servant/slave/pet/tool brainwashing, could make a case for it, simple You can not take actions X,Y,Z definitely not since the self (which decides consent) is left untouched

Consent in regards to hypno/MC has always been a funny subject to me. People live very different lives in one lifetime and often what they wouldnt have consented to in the past, they would consent to now. Most people seem to be fine with this because its gradual, but what about when its sudden or forced even with positive consequence? People might look down on forcing someone onto a roller coaster only for them to find out how fun it is and consent to doing it again while some people are terrified of electro-shock therapy yet its proven effective for depression. I suppose the consent tag could refer to consent before MC but otherwise its arguably indistinguishable from real life examples of people changing their consent based on their situation.
