The way I imagined it, she found the 'power up' hypno flower, and after grabbing it fell into a trance and slipped down onto her knees while holding it. Though I do see what you mean about the angle seeming like a targeting the viewer thing. I picked that angle mostly so I could more easily draw the flower's face. xD

If she grabbed the Hypno-Flower, then she now has Hypno-Powers. Unless you're regarding it like the Poison Mushroom?
