The story:

Sorez put the music tape into her radio, a gift from a co-worker. She was confused on why he had given her a tape, especially when most people didn't use them anymore, she was lucky she had an old radio in her attic to even put it in! But what confused her more was why she was given this. She never even talked to the guy, or with anyone at her work really. Most of the workers were men, and any women that did join seemed to quit in mere days. She herself was just a few weeks in, having put up with most of their sexist remarks of women belonging in the house, and not at the workplace, but she was showing them up with her harder work every day, to their dismay.

The song lyrics were barely audible, probably due to how old this tape must have been, but the melody itself was catchy so she shrugged it off and went to relax on her bed with a book with the song on. As she read, she kept thinking about the tape, sure it wasn't the best quality, but it was actually pretty nice of that man to give her it as a gift! She really ought to thank him sometime, maybe she could try starting some small talk with him at work...

She frowned as she kept reading, the words growing harder to understand up until she was getting too frustrated with it, closing the book with a sigh. Why did she even buy such a complicated book in the first place? She remembered failing her reading classes as a kid, but that was because she knew she didn't need to read, as that was a man's job. She sat up, blinking rapidly... a.. man's job? Why did she even think that? Ofcourse she knew how to read, it was even part of her job to! She read all sorts of things... like... uhm...

Her thoughts fizzled out as the music blared on, the static seemed clearer, or was that just her imagination? She shrugged as she forgot what was stressing her out, after all stress is no good for a woman, she has to just go with the flow, smiling as she found herself organizing her room, tidying it up till it was spotless. How could she have even let herself live in such a messy room! What would her work friend think if he saw? Only then did she notice how late it already was, 9pm! She needed to get her rest and be up early... for, some reason? She shook her head as she felt something was wrong, but the music felt like such a relaxing lullaby, maybe sleep wasn't such a bad idea...

She got up with a smile, not even noticing that she had left the radio on all night, ready to go shopping for essentials before work! She frowned as she got dressed, her outfits were so drab and manlike, she really needed something girlier to wear, but this will have to do for now!

She hummed the radio's tune the entire time as she filled her cart with items, washing supplies, dresses, cooking supplies, even a vacuum and more! The insanely high bill she was met with at the register didn't phase her, after all, she had no other use for money but to keep her and her house clean and pretty! It wasn't until her drive back home that she was called by her work, her boss angrily yelling at her that she's missed half the day already, but that couldn't be right, she got up early... surely she didn't spend that long shopping did she?

As she made it to work, hiding her face in shame as she made it to her desk, she prepared to start working until she realized that she didn't even know how a computer even worked, let alone what the words on the screen said... Why did she take this job in the first place? Her panic must have been obvious as the work friend who gave her her favourite music tape sat down next to her, volunteering to do the work for her, lifting a heavy weight off of her as she sat by his side and watched.

He was so kind to be helping her like this, he was quite the looker too, blushing as her heart thumped harder. Squirming in her seat, as she heard the other workers mock her again, but found herself giggling at some of them, because they were clearly true, women like her didn't know tech, or reading or... other job stuff, she was here to support her friend at his desk for the day after all! As it was time to close, she found herself writing her address to her friend, unsure why, but she knew he deserved it all, as she felt him slap her ass, only making her giggle a bit as she left for home.

As she opened the doors, the music filled her ears again. Silly her, she must have left her boyfriend's tape on! She shrugged as she left it on while she set up her newly purchased appliances, it was a great song to do her household duties to either way! As she went to finally take off her clothes, the song felt even clearer than before, singing along to it yet her mind didn't register the words too well anyways, finding herself wearing her new polkadot dress and top, high heels, and earrings. She... didn't remember putting them on, trying to think for a moment, which only made her head hurt before she saw the pile of trash, her old clothes, on the floor. She dutifully picked them up, ready to throw away such useless material.

She smiled as her golden nails finally dried, allowing her to grip her vacuum tighter as she cleaned, dinner cooking in the oven, perfectly sized for two people. Unaware of the drool on her lipstick covered lips. She has been zoning out a lot lately, she didn't even go to visit her boyfriend at work today! But that was fine, he always told her she was better off in his house washing and cleaning, and that's what she's best at after all!

The song was clear as day now, as she sung to it without really thinking about... thinking about it... she stopped in her tracks, her mind suddenly reeling as she realized something was wrong. Didn't she have a job? No.. women don't work... but, she swear she did... she, hated how demeaning men were but... everything they said was true so she had to agree? What... what was she doing again?...

"W-what was I...", as the music blared even clearer than ever before, "S-spotless... mind?". She continued vacuuming as her mind started to clear out again, this time for good as the music finally settled into her now old-timey tuned mind, the static in the song sounding so natural it's as if it wasn't there.

She smiled as drool escaped once again as her mind blanked out, except for her new thoughts, she had to get the place clean for her hubby before he got home from work, and get dinner on the table! She continued her wife duties, leg raised happily as she sang to the song and finally giving in completely,
"Happy... Happy Hubby is all I need~"
"Cook and clean, so pretty and dim~"
"Remember it's all for him~"

The song continued to blare on for hours on end until her new hubby was home~

A good wife has no worries~
She just cleans and smiles~
Perfect house, perfect life~
Perfect life, mindless wife~
Giggle, prance, and clean~
Spotless counters, spotless mind~
Shining glasses and plates, makes my day~
Happy hubby, is all I need~
Pretty face, no opinions~
Clean the house, clear my mind~
And when that's done it's dinner time~
Cook and clean, so pretty and dim~
Remember it's all for him~
