I don't know if this idea has been done before, I don't think I came up with it though and would certainly not like to take advantage of someone else's idea without giving proper acknowledgement. But it feels like an obvious thing, genies are supposed to do whatever we say right?

I mean...Sort of? The origin of the genie can be traced back to the djinn, and they basically had to do whatever the person holding their McGuffin item said. But if I recall correctly both genies and djinn operated off of Fae rules, they have to obey the letter, not the spirit. Make me a PB&J will not get you a sandwich, you could possibly be polymorphed into a sandwich.

I think I'm getting deja vu cause I think I've already said a while ago I love the concept of using magical wishes in this manor, though in this case, its sorta cathartic since the genie was evil, kinda like when the stuck bitchy girl gets brainwashed into a loving and caring girl.

To be more clear in this instance she did say pre-grant the wish. She then says There, I couldnt mess with the wishes if I tried.

This rather interestingly implies that a genie can sort of read the wishers mind and understand their intentions clearly; any monkeys paw situation would in fact caused by a deliberate misinterpretation of the spoken wish. It is also implied that Genies have to come up with their trickery on the fly, which I think is funny.
