I'd intended to post this when I made the parent post, and just realized that I never did. This is the sketch preliminaries for the Tannah and Vard pic in the parent post. As you can kind of see in the pose on the left, my original idea was that Tannah would lift up her blindfold to get her bearings for just a second, only to find that she was facing the Eye directly. The artist thought it might work better to have it not be her, but to have a tiny monster pull the blindfold out of the way at just the right/wrong time, and I ended up convinced. You can also see that the artist wasn't sure just what to do with Vard's pose/body language and had him looking unsure, I thought it would add to the comedy to have him look totally confident and unaware that things had gone terribly wrong. Also, that D: face in the second sketch.
