I get the feeling that even if she gets her old memories back, instead of reverting to her old ways, shell just be horrified and racked with guilt over who she once was, and be beyond grateful that shes been given this second chance

You know, wouldn't metal sonic know about this body and apond seeing it, he capture miss tinker and try to get hermemories back, or heck since this body failed whose to say that another one won't just activate propley and eggman returns, with his untaimed hatred for sonic and maybe know that miss tinker is just another egg body and tries to get her back.
