I like Batman Beyond, but PSA episodes are a pet peeve of mine. In this instance, Spellbinder has Max hooked on a machine that gives the user ideal hallucinations.

This is a really good episode and it is actually a really good metaphor for drug addiction since it isn't even a drug.

I'd argue it's pretty close to a drug because it's manipulating their addiction center of the brain directly even if it's only causing an overload of serotonin and dopamine.

I mean they had like four different episodes that were drug use metaphors... but they were all done well enough. Though I'm surprised no one brought up that tuning fork that gives people orgasms...

From the show? I remember an episode where a tuning fork building turned animals crazy.
