the cocoon yes but it's never shown if they're there to digest the victim or to just act as a prison, or do the transformation. We never get to see anyone trapped in the cocoon for more then a few minutes before they're freed. Speculation intensifies.

one thing for sure though Twilight' hair color-scheme looks awful on a changeling.

Probably because this is less directly controlling the characters mind than it is corruption and reshaping her into a helpless drone that unwillingly obeys ever command given by her new queen.

It seems more like Chryssie turned her into a Queen since drones don't have hair and have compound eyes. I'd guess that her plan is, since Twilight must feed in the same manner, she must aid Chryssie in gathering love or starve to death herself.
