This video is part of the Buddyverse project by Mr. Buddy, a Pokmon fanfic writer. The story takes place after the events of Pokmon Black/White 2, where the people of Unova become depressed due to the destruction caused by Team Plasma, leading to a new team of helpful Pokmon trainers forming: Team Buddy. They have a vintage 1950's aesthetic and go around helping everyone, though under their friendly veil they secretly develop a brainwashing drug to keep people in a state of constant euphoria and friendliness, capturing and converting trainers and gym leaders alike into joining Team Buddy.

After being defeated in Unova, a new Team Buddy appears in Alola with similar designs on recruiting all into their cult of blissful friendship. The Sinnoh Champion Cynthia is convinced to try this new spa, unaware of the dangers that lie within...

Hm, this has been a long time coming. Too bad MrBuddy has moved on to "buddymon". I mean here I wanted to see his ideas for pokemon games not whatever the fuck "buddymon" is but I guess that was too much to ask of him.

So I watched through the Buddyverse playlist, it's a very well written story & animatic as well.

But what bothers me (Sorry for the spoilers) is that if Cynthia & her Garchomp are no longer "buddytized". Look I know this hub is all about hypnosis & many forms and variations of it but after watching the buddyverse series I feel bad for them both. She was trying to enjoy her vacation & now her & her Garchmomp minds are warped. It's pretty scary and sad to me.

I don't mind characters getting corrupted through brainwashing...in fact I can find it pretty hot...so long as their "corrupted form" isn't creepy or ugly. But I also have the caveat that I want them saved/redeemed/purified in the end.

@/teso Yeah thats why Im scrambling for answers about this.

The buddyverse stuff ended on a cliffhanger and it wasnt clear if Cynthia was freeded from the brainwashing and no proof that she is.

Thats what bothers me.

Maybe this animatic as well made as it is spooked me and bothered me more then catered to my hypnotic fetish.
