I never understood why the cinematographer decided to map this anime like a drunkard,. I never could finish it because it was making me nauseous.

@/cdyoung @/Evilunicorn Is it strange to say that I could storyboard a better scene than whoever made this?

I mean I'm currently learning storyboarding so yeah I'm considered a novice at best but still.

It's like this so they could save money by using a low amount of animation cells and/or repeating them endlessly, and the panning, speed and blurring is supposed to trick you into not noticing that. All this studio's hentai is like this, they just mix up the style of the speed and blurring.

I'd say it was purely them being cheap/lazy and not a deliberate choice of style at all, but at some point when you've established yourself I guess the stuff you did to be cheap/lazy does become your style.

In the game "Rise of the Triad" of 1995, there was a drunk mode that looked like that. That game really had it all.
