No clue, I had to take some Chinese for 4 and a half years, so I can read some of the Kanji, but in the context with the Hiragana, Katakana, or whatever the fourth one is, I do not have a clue.

Sure, but "Kanji" literally means "Chinese characters", and they often share meaning with the Chinese written language. He's saying "I can infer some of the meanings of the kanji from my knowledge of Chinese, but not enough to read Japanese".

Anyways, it's basically a generic "Happy new year. Thanks for supporting me, I hope you have a good year." Message. The woman on the left is saying "Our family will grow soon", presumably because the girl on the right is pregnant.

Well, considering what I've seen of Tai Chi Chasers with some of the chinese characters looking similar to Japanese, it makes some sense
